Frigidaire and Electrolux ranges show F-codes when the electronic oven control detects a problem. Here are the codes you are most likely to see. Exact meanings can vary by model, so confirm with the wiring diagram inside the range.
Common codes
- F10 – Runaway temperature: the oven got hotter than expected. Often the temperature sensor or a stuck relay on the control board.
- F11 – Shorted key on the touchpad (keypad or overlay).
- F13 – Control board internal error. This code usually means the oven control board has failed.
- F30 / F31 – Temperature sensor (RTD) circuit open or shorted.
- F90 and related codes – Door lock problem, often seen during or after self-clean.
What to check first
- Reset power at the breaker for one minute.
- Test the oven temperature sensor; at room temperature it should read about 1,100 ohms.
- Inspect the door lock motor and switch wiring if the code appeared after self-clean.
If the sensor and lock test fine, or you see F13, the control board is the most likely cause.
Safety first: always unplug the appliance and shut off the water (and gas, if any) before you open any panel. If you are not comfortable working with electrical parts, call a qualified technician.
Frigidaire part numbers
Frigidaire range boards usually start with 316 or 5304, for example 316207400. Electrolux shares most of these parts.
